In a regulatory filing on Monday, Royal Orchid Hotels announced the hiring of Philip Logan as its chief operating officer (COO), effective on June 19, 2023.
In the hotel industry, both in India and overseas, Philip Logan has more than 30 years of expertise. In Australia, Griffith University is where he received his hotel management degree, and Sydney University of Technology is where he received his MBA.
Philip Logan worked as the vice president of operations for Barque Hotels South Asia for 3.5 years and as the vice president of special projects for Accor Hotels, where he worked on a number of hotels that are major mixed-use hotels for midscale and upmarket hotel openings. A general manager at hotels including the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth and Canary Wharf in London, he also had a lengthy and illustrious career with the Accor company.
“Philip Loganhas spent 12 years in India and had opened the first HICC Novotel in Hyderabad and was instrumental in opening the Grand Mercure Bengaluru, Ibis Bengaluru, and Novotel Tech Park and was part of bringing the international brand Accor, Novotel, and Ibis to Indian audiences,” the company stated in the filing.
