AAHAR Fair is devoted to ‘food’ and ‘hospitality’ which are integral part of India’s ancient heritage and culture with a world famed slogan ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ and with these words Shri Pradeep Singh Kharola, CMD inaugurated the 37th edition of The International Food & Hospitality Fair – AAHAR on 14th March, 2023. The Indian food processing industry is among the largest in the nation in terms of growth, production, consumption and exports and has been growing substantially day by day. A down fall can be seen in other industries, however, the Food and Food Processing Industry has a lot of potential in comparison to other industries. CMD, ITPO also recognized the efforts of associations in mobilizing this grand event.
Present on the occasion were Smt. Anita Praveen, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Shri Rajat Agarwal, Executive Director, ITPO, Mr. Alessandro Liberatori, Trade Commissioner, Italian Trade Commissioner and H.E. Mr. Euardo Uziel, Charge’D Affairs Brazil to India.
In his welcome speech, Shri Rajat Agarwal, ED, ITPO highlighted that 37th edition of AAHAR is an historic event spread in an area of 1,00,000 sq.mtrs approx. with participation from 1500+ exhibitors. Overseas participation from 18 countries with 100 nos. foreign exhibitors reveals that India is a mega hub for food and hospitality sector. He further emphasized that ITPO has worked very hard to make this fair a success and will prove to be a milestone in forging business partnerships and linkages amongst stakeholders.
The fair has been organized by the ITPO with support of the Ministry of Food Processing and Industries, Government of India, APEDA along with other apex bodies such as AIFPA, ARCHII, HOTERMAI, FHSAI, FIFI, KREMAG, FAIC, FIFHI, FIWA and PBFIA for the fair. AAHAR (March 14-18, 2023) will open for the business visitors from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm daily.
