A proud descendant of the renowned Qureshi family, Chef Qureshi carries forward a rich legacy rooted in the regal traditions of Awadhi cuisine. For the Qureshis, food is more than just nourishment—it’s an heirloom of stories, memories, and heritage. With a career spanning over 22 years, Chef Qureshi has honed his craft across India, the UAE, Oman, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and the UK. Known for leading culinary teams of 30+ chefs, launching acclaimed restaurants, and designing standout menus, he gained particular recognition during his tenure at Moghul Express in Leicester, where the restaurant earned a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor, ranked #1 among Indian restaurants, and secured a spot in the Top 10 restaurants in the region.
Among his celebrated creations are the legendary Barra Kebab and Mutton Dum Biryani—time-honored dishes perfected under the mentorship of his great-grandfather. These signature delicacies will now be featured at Hyatt Regency Chennai, offering guests a royal and authentic taste of India’s rich culinary heritage.
