Chai Sutta Bar (CSB), a home-grown tea selling brand, is looking at expansion to international markets.
While on a rapid expansion spree in the domestic market, Chai Sutta Bar (CSB), a home-grown tea selling brand, is also eyeing expansion into the overseas mark. “We have already incorporated a company in the UK, and we are all set to open our first outlet in London soon,” Dubey said.
After the first launch in Indore in 2016 with his partner Anand Nayak, the company expanded rapidly through a unique franchise model of business in the last six years to reach an enviable size of 400 outlets.
They aspire to reach 1K mark in the next 1 year with efficient expansion plans. Many his franchise partners are people who have been his customers. And most of them are middle class people who have passion and dedication for the business.
He said that from the very inception they took it as a challenge to build an Ind an Indian cafe brand with core on the most consumed beverage, chai – a segment otherwise dominated by international chains.
Started by serving 75 khullars (earthen glass) of chai a day, the chain boasts boast of selling 4.5-lakh teas a day currently. Over 90 percent of their staff are from the economically backward sections of the society or people who are differently abled.
The company had recently opened its second outlet in Chennai, and Dubey added that the brand is keen to expand into the south India market.
