The cafe that serves fluffy Japanese soufflés in the West End is set to open a second outlet in its southern area, which will be much bigger. KoKo House has opened its first branch on Great George Street, off Byres Road. , in 2020. They’ve been successful with their pancakes, which are reminiscent of little cotton clouds.
Soufflé pancakes are a popular breakfast trend in Japan, and now southerners can enjoy a light treat. The cafe is undergoing renovations after acquiring a former dessert shop and will inaugurate eponymous premises on Pollokshaws Road in approximately four weeks.
Family-business owner, Kevin Chan said: “We’ve always been looking in the south side for a second unit, for a while now, and we’ve finally found a unit that we wanted. It’s in the renovation stage and we are looking to launch in a months’ time. It’s identical to our west end venue”.
