KUURAKU, the renowned global restaurant chain, commemorates its 9th anniversary with an exciting introduction – Vegan Ramen, a first-of-its-kind offering for the brand at Gurugram. The momentous occasion saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Ms. Ooota, First Secretary (Food and Agriculture) at the Embassy of Japan in India, Mr. Hirohama, Managing Director of KUURAKU India, Mr. Kojiro Honda, Co-Owner and Founder of KUURAKU India, and Mr. Tagawa, Executive Chef and COO of KUURAKU India.
During the event, Ms. Ooota expressed her delight at witnessing the increasing popularity of Japanese cuisines among Indians and the growing trend of adopting vegan options for healthier and environmentally friendly choices. She praised the diversity of Japanese cuisine and expressed hope that it continues to be a favorite among Indians.
Mr. Hirohama, the Managing Director of KUURAKU India, highlighted the global appeal of Japanese food as people embrace healthier dining choices. He noted that Japanese cuisine has secured its place as the third most preferred international cuisine for many, trailing only behind Italian and Chinese foods. The introduction of Real Vegan Ramen aligns perfectly with the brand’s strategy to cater to India’s evolving culinary preferences.
The Vegan Ramen is crafted using a special vegetable broth, plant-based milk like soy milk, and a medley of delectable vegetables. The result is a creamy soup bursting with vegetable flavors, served alongside homemade noodles. The brand’s commitment to authenticity is evident, as there are limited vegan or vegetarian recipes in traditional Japanese cuisine. However, after extensive research and development, KUURAKU successfully launched its range of Real Vegan Ramen.
Mr. Kojiro Honda, Co-Owner, and Founder of KUURAKU India expressed the brand’s commitment to expansion and catering to the burgeoning demand for Japanese cuisine in India. Currently, KUURAKU operates in Neemrana (Rajasthan), Gurugram, New Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Jaipur. They have robust marketing plans in place to offer the best and most authentic food choices in Japan, and the introduction of Vegan Ramen is expected to further enhance their popularity.
Mr. Tagawa, Executive Chef and COO of KUURAKU India emphasized the brand’s dedication to delighting customers with innovative taste, flavors, and presentation. The Real Vegan Ramen has been crafted with care, drawing on customer appreciation from other countries. In addition to the Vegan Ramen, KUURAKU offers a wide array of authentic Japanese dishes, including Yakitori, their Signature dish – Japanese grilled skewers prepared by certified chefs. The restaurant also serves Ramen, Sushi, Tempura, Gyoza, Japanese curry, and a variety of Japanese Izakaya tapas, perfectly complemented by beer and whisky. Each dish promises authentic ingredients meticulously prepared by well-trained chefs at KUURAKU. Prices for the Vegan Ramen start from Rs. 780/-.
The introduction of this innovative dish reflects the brand’s commitment to providing diverse and authentic Japanese cuisine to its satisfied patrons in India and around the world.
