Expansion Of Hyatt’s Presence In Mexico Announced

-KH News Desk(cbedit@imaws.org)

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is set to expand its brand portfolio in Mexico by adding new luxury and all-inclusive hotels and resorts. By 2025, Hyatt’s Mexico brand portfolio is expected to grow by 30% in popular leisure destinations such as Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Baja California, and Cancún. The hotel chain plans to open new properties in these areas, including the Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol, Grand Hyatt Cancún Beach Resort, and Thompson Monterrey, which will expand the luxury-lifestyle Thompson Hotels brand’s presence in a new market in Mexico.

Hyatt recently acquired Dream Hotel Group and is expanding The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand with three new Chatwal-branded hotels. The Chatwal San Miguel, slated to debut in 2024, will feature 44 freestanding villas and 125 branded residences. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt recently made its Mexico debut with two new hotels: Rancho Pescadero, a 30-acre oceanfront escape near Todos Santos, and NUMU Boutique Hotel in San Miguel de Allende.

Hyatt has also opened several hotels and resorts in Mexico, including the Hyatt Regency San Luis Potosí, Andaz Mexico City Condesa, Hyatt Place Monterrey Valle, Hyatt House Monterrey Valle/San Pedro, and four luxury all-inclusive resorts under Hyatt’s new Inclusive Collection: Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya, Secrets Impression Moxché Playa del Carmen, Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen, and Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa.

The hotel chain’s expansion in Mexico is part of its global growth strategy. Hyatt aims to strengthen its presence in key markets by adding more properties to its brand portfolio, including luxury hotels and resorts, lifestyle hotels, and all-inclusive resorts. The company is committed to providing guests with exceptional experiences and catering to their diverse needs and preferences.
