Accor is significantly bolstering its presence across Asia, driven by a strategic and robust growth trajectory that includes a diverse pipeline of more than 230 hotels representing close to 60,000 keys currently in development. This aggressive expansion, which reinforces Accor’s third consecutive year of record growth in Asia, is designed to capture fresh opportunities in both established metropolitan hubs and dynamic emerging markets. The company’s success in capturing new business is attributed to the resilience of Asia’s travel and hospitality industry and its ability to harness the strength of its diverse brand portfolio through deepened partnerships with owners.
Growth Driven by Diverse Brand Portfolio
The expansion is primarily being fueled by the growth across Accor’s Premium, Midscale, and Economy (PM&E) brands. Conversion-friendly brands such as Mercure and Handwritten Collection are driving significant momentum, while the ibis and ibis Styles brands are strengthening the economy segment by offering accessible comfort across the region. Simultaneously, premium brands like Pullman, Mövenpick, Grand Mercure, and Swissôtel are expanding into high-potential destinations. In terms of new projects signed in 2025, Indonesia led the way with seven projects, notably including Swissôtel Bali Nusa Dua. Thailand and Laos collectively added five projects, featuring Mercure’s debut in Phuket, Handwritten Collection in Bangkok, and ibis Vientiane. Reflecting rising demand in secondary markets, the Philippines secured four signings, including Mercure Mactan Cebu and ibis Styles Clark, while India expanded with three new signings: Pullman Dehradun Jollygrant, Novotel Indore, and ibis Indore. Notably, Vietnam achieved a milestone with the signing of its largest Mövenpick, a significant 1,000-key resort in Danang.
Luxury and Lifestyle Milestones
Accor’s luxury and lifestyle segments, particularly through its lifestyle division Ennismore, are also seeing dynamic development. Key announcements include Rixos Hon Thom Island, which will be Asia’s first Rixos all-inclusive resort, and Mama Shelter Bangkok Platinum, marking the brand’s vibrant debut in Thailand. The luxury portfolio saw a landmark signing with the Sofitel Sapa Hotel & Residences in Northern Vietnam, a massive project slated for a 2030 opening that will combine 176 rooms and 436 residences. High-profile upcoming luxury openings include Raffles Sentosa Singapore and the future Raffles Tokyo (scheduled for 2028), alongside the addition of Fairmont Mumbai and Fairmont Tokyo to the portfolio, with Fairmont Hanoi and Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit also on track for 2026 debuts.
Key Openings and Leadership Insight
Accor’s operational footprint has been notably strengthened with several key openings in 2025, including the Pullman Hai Phong Grand Hotel, Pullman Ambassador Seoul Eastpole, and the debut of Swissôtel Living in the region with Swissôtel Living Jakarta Mega Kuningan. Other notable launches were TRIBE Phuket Patong and Novotel New Delhi City Centre. Looking ahead, upcoming debuts include Grand Mercure Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang, Novotel Bali Ubud Resort, and Hotel Waterloo Singapore – Handwritten Collection.

Andrew Langdon, Accor’s Chief Development Officer, Asia, expressed confidence in achieving “another record year of signings,” emphasizing that the strong momentum reflects the region’s resilience and that Accor is “well-positioned to continue leading the next era of hospitality in the region” by leveraging its diverse brand strategy and trusted owner partnerships.
