Executive pastry chef Santosh Rawat works at the JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa. Santosh Rawat has been appointed as the executive pastry chef at the JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa.
In order to take the dessert experience to the next level, Rawat joins the resort’s esteemed culinary staff and contributes more than 25 years of groundbreaking knowledge in pastry and confectionery. Beginning in Mumbai, Rawat has redefined pastry craftsmanship globally for more than 25 years. His love of creativity and workmanship, which has been the driving force behind 11 upscale hotel pre-openings, has consistently raised the bar for sweet delight.
He worked for Marriott Hotels in Riyadh (MHRS) as a cluster executive pastry chef before joining JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire. He was a key member of Marriott South Asia’s pastry advisory board and oversaw the pastry teams at upscale establishments including the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar and the St. Regis Mumbai. With Rawat’s arrival, the resort’s sophisticated patisserie delicatessen, Truffle & Co., is poised to welcome a new age of decadent, handcrafted desserts and artisanal breads. Visitors can anticipate a season filled with creative inventions and reinvented classics, each confection narrating a tale of precision and passion.
Rawat has refined his skills at some of the most prominent pastry schools in the world, such as the Callebaut Academy in Milan, Italy; the Valrhona Academy in Japan; and the Felchlin Academy in Switzerland. His unique approach has been shaped by his international experiences, which combine classic pastry methods with contemporary sensibilities. With a natural talent for making everything from simple sourdough loaves to elaborately designed desserts, Rawat feels that his pastries should tell a story.
