The Oberoi Group has announced a significant collaboration with two key organizations, The Job Plus and the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), to launch a new, dedicated initiative focused on skilling and employment. This program aims to train and empower 200 underprivileged youth from various regions across India, preparing them for careers in the dynamic hospitality sector.

This strategic partnership is a continuation of The Oberoi Group’s long-standing commitment to nurturing talent and contributing to social development. The initiative is designed to address the persistent skills gap within the hospitality industry while simultaneously providing life-changing opportunities to young individuals facing economic challenges.

The training modules, which will be jointly developed and implemented by all three partners, will be highly intensive and focused on imparting both technical hospitality skills and essential soft skills. The ultimate goal is to ensure that the participants are job-ready and capable of maintaining the high standards of service excellence that The Oberoi Group is globally known for.

By aligning with THSC, the sector skill council for the tourism and hospitality industry, the program ensures that the training curriculum is industry-relevant and nationally certified. The Job Plus will play a crucial role in identifying suitable candidates and facilitating the logistical and social support necessary for their successful completion of the training and subsequent placement.

This collaboration is a strong example of how leading corporate entities can partner with specialized agencies to drive impactful, scalable skilling initiatives that benefit both the industry and the nation’s youth. The program is expected to create a direct employment pathway for the 200 graduates within The Oberoi Group’s properties or other reputed hotels, marking a crucial step toward building a more inclusive and skilled workforce in Indian hospitality.
