UAE’s commitment to building a self-reliant food security program is on floors now. According to sources, Silver Line Gate Group (SLG) announced that it will construct a new manufacturing, warehouse, and corporate office facility in Dubai Industrial City which is set to open in 2025.
Promising to provide the facility of supporting the distribution of wholesale bakery goods like butter, whey powder and vegetable shortening required by bakeries, hotels, caterers, restaurants, and all forms of eateries across UAE. Report States that it will “meet the demands of B2B and B2C customers across the GCC, African market, and Southeast Asia.”
Given that SLG Group will have convenient access to the key markets through this project, “Our business is growing rapidly, fuelled by a growing demand for powdered milk and related products across the region. Our ability to cater to this demand, in terms of both output and timely delivery, hinges on our facility. Dubai Industrial City offers us a fully equipped industrial infrastructure to easily set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing and logistics centre from which we can better cater to many other markets,” SLG Group general manager Shereen Saeed comments.
Once again Dubai proves to be a strategic location and Dubai Industrial City provides an extensive transport network that includes land, air, sea and Etihad Rail which is soon in line. According to the report, the new SLG Group facility has been created in response to the expanding market and incorporates state-of-the-art technology along with fully automated machinery and equipment. The facility is expected to generate more than 300 employment opportunities.
