33&BREW, India’s first vinyl-themed microbrewery, has officially opened at Prestige Techno Star, Brookfield, Bengaluru. Founded by the creators of Record Room and now part of Optimistic Capital, the venue is a large-scale evolution of the brand’s legacy, merging high-fidelity analogue sound with a sophisticated craft beer and culinary program.
The brewery’s name is a tribute to 33 RPM, the speed at which classic vinyl records spin. The space features an archive of over 200 records ranging from rock to soul. The craft beer program is led by Stephen Nelsen, a third-generation master brewer with over 30 years of experience, offering a rotating tap list of small-batch brews including IPAs, session ales, and seasonal pours.
Complementing the brews is a global menu curated by celebrated Chef Sabyasachi Gorai, featuring wood-fired flatbreads, handmade pastas, and grills. The interiors, designed by Studio Taan, blend industrial elements with retro warmth, featuring exposed brick, brass accents, and visible brew tanks.
A representative from Optimistic Capital stated: “33&Brew isn’t just a microbrewery—it’s a celebration of craft, culture, and connection. We’ve blended our love for vinyl and small-batch brewing to create a space where every pint tells a story and every track sets the mood. We’re proud to bring India its first Vinyl Microbrewery.”
