Radisson Blu Plaza Hyderabad Presents the Kongunadu Food Festival

-KH News Desk (cbedit@imaws.org)

Radisson Blu Plaza, Banjara Hills, invites the city’s food enthusiasts to experience the rich culinary heritage of Tamil Nadu with the Kongunadu Food Festival, from September 12th to 21st, 2025, at Chill Restaurant & Terrace, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant featuring world cuisine.

Curated by Master Chef Gowthamn, the festival celebrates the earthy, wholesome, and deeply traditional flavours of Kongu Nadu — a region renowned for its rustic cooking, bold use of spices, and farm-to-table recipes passed down through generations.

Guests will savour iconic dishes such as Vazhapoo Vada (banana flower fritters), Kambu Dosa (pearl millet dosa), Arisi Paruppu Sadam (rice with dal & spices), Kozhi Milagu Curry (pepper chicken curry), Kari Dosa, Mutton Chukka, and more, alongside live cooking stations showcasing authentic preparation techniques — from dosa artistry to fresh sambal grinding.

The ambience will be transformed into a cultural canvas, featuring earthen pots, woven baskets, lotus-filled urulis, rustic wooden serving platters, and vibrant Kongunadu motifs. Themed staff attire further adds to the authenticity of the experience.

Speaking about the festival, Master Chef Gowthamn shared: “Kongunadu cuisine is rooted in simplicity and soul. Through this pop-up, I wish to bring the warmth of our food culture to Hyderabad and let diners discover the depth and diversity of Tamil Nadu’s culinary traditions.”

The Kongunadu Food Festival at Radisson Blu Plaza, Banjara Hills, is more than just a showcase of cuisine — it’s an immersive cultural celebration that promises to transport guests straight to the heart of Tamil Nadu.
