Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new hotel under its Ginger brand, to be located at Terminal 2 (T2) of the Mumbai International Airport. This key development, in partnership with Hazoor Multiprojects, gives the Ginger brand a dual presence at both terminals of one of India’s busiest gateways.

Hotel Details and Strategic Importance

The new property is strategically positioned to serve the high volume of passenger traffic and meet the rising demand for efficient, convenient hospitality across all segments.

  • Hotel Name: Ginger Mumbai Airport T2

  • Location: Terminal 2, Mumbai International Airport

  • Keys (Rooms): 200 keys

  • Integrated Development: The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development comprising retail and commercial spaces, ensuring a seamless blend of convenience and comfort for guests.

  • Target Segment: The amenities are designed to cater to the needs of both business and leisure travelers (including transit guests).

  • Amenities: The hotel will feature Ginger’s signature all-day dining restaurant, Qmin, a stylish bar, dedicated meeting rooms, and a fully equipped fitness centre.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, commented on the brand’s strategic focus on transit hubs: “Mumbai International Airport stands as one of India’s busiest gateways, and the growing passenger traffic at Terminal 2 underscores the rising demand for hospitality across all segments. The signing of this new hotel gives the brand a dual presence at both terminals. With Ginger’s footprint across airports of Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, MOPA Goa and its proximity to the airports in cities of Nagpur and Coimbatore, the brand continues to reinforce its position in India’s most vital transit hubs. We are pleased to partner with Hazoor Multiprojects for this landmark development.”

Tunviey Mopalwar, of Hazoor Multiprojects Private Limited (HMPL), also expressed enthusiasm for the project: “We are happy to partner with IHCL for this project and enhance the hospitality offerings in this prime location.”

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have 14 hotels in Mumbai city, including two under development.
