Ventive Hospitality, the Pune-based luxury hospitality asset owner, has unveiled Ventive Crown, a quarterly internal recognition and competition platform. Conceived to celebrate, challenge, and elevate exceptional talent across its diverse hotel portfolio, the initiative marks a significant step in the company’s “talent-first” growth strategy.
The “Chef’s Edition”: A Culinary Showdown
The inaugural edition of Ventive Crown focused on culinary excellence, bringing together the group’s flagship properties in Pune.
-
Participation: The event saw six teams and 12 chefs from luxury hotels in Pune, including The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Suites, Courtyard by Marriott, Oakwood Residence, and DoubleTree by Hilton.
-
The Challenge: Chefs underwent a “pressure-cooker” culinary challenge, narrating personal stories and heritage through their craft.
-
Signature Dishes: Standout creations included a modern take on Rabbit Rogan Josh, Chena Lasooni Saag, and the traditional Patthar Ka Chaap.
-
Impact: The winning dishes have been added to the respective hotel menus, allowing guests to experience the award-winning creativity directly.
Strategic Vision: Empowering the “Quiet Heroes”
Ventive Crown is designed as a company-led platform to unify staff across different global brands (Marriott, Hilton, etc.) within the Ventive fold. By rotating the focus quarterly, the initiative aims to build a culture of creativity and cross-property engagement.
Ranjit Batra, CEO, Ventive Hospitality: “Our chefs and teams form the core of our strength in food and beverage. Ventive Crown is their craft, commitment, and silent excellence, which is honoured and thus giving them the visibility and the recognition they deserve.”

Mayur Tiwari, AVP – Food & Beverages and Culinary, Ventive Hospitality: “Ventive Crown is not just a moment. It creates a culture, pays tribute to creativity, and unites the real heroes of hospitality. The Chef’s Edition is the work of chefs, by chefs — it is the celebration of our craft while the guest experience is being elevated.”
