Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) is making a significant move into the heart of India’s spiritual landscape, bringing internationally branded hospitality to some of the country’s most revered pilgrimage cities. By expanding its portfolio into Shirdi, Puri, Indore, and Ujjain, the Group is reinforcing its “first-mover” strategy in markets that are witnessing a massive surge in domestic and faith-led travel.
This expansion aligns with the government’s vision for sustainable and inclusive tourism infrastructure. The Group’s latest projects include a diverse range of brands, from the contemporary Radisson RED to the refined Radisson Individuals and Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, ensuring a variety of options for pilgrims and leisure travelers alike.

Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, emphasized the importance of this growth: “India’s spiritual destinations are witnessing unprecedented growth, and RHG is proud to bring internationally branded hospitality to these culturally significant cities. Our long-standing market foresight and first-mover approach allow us to offer globally recognized service standards while preserving the essence and heritage of each destination. With our expansion into Shirdi, Puri, Indore, and Ujjain, we are not just opening hotels; we are creating destinations that support India’s evolving tourism ecosystem.”
In Shirdi, the Temple Tree Hotel (a member of Radisson Individuals) offers 87 rooms and proximity to the Shri Sai Baba Temple, featuring dining outlets like Maae’z Kitchen and Neem Patio. Indore sees the debut of Radisson RED, a bold 115-room property designed for the modern traveler with a rooftop infinity pool and smart in-room technology.
Puri’s Park Inn & Suites by Radisson provides a premium stay near the Jagannath Temple with 60 well-appointed rooms, while the upcoming Radisson Hotel Ujjain will be the city’s first internationally branded hotel. Located near the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, the Ujjain property will offer 150 rooms and a holistic wellness experience, including a yoga and meditation center.
