Third Eye Distillery, the pioneers behind the globally acclaimed Stranger & Sons gin, has officially entered the spiced rum category with the launch of Lost & Found Tropical Spiced Rum. Debuted at the cultural hub Hideaway in Goa during the festive carnival season, the new spirit marks a strategic diversification for the distillery into one of the world’s fastest-growing craft categories.
Lost & Found is positioned as a “tropical spiced rum” that reclaims the spirit’s Indian heritage. The brand emphasizes that while rum is often associated with the Caribbean, India’s deep lineage of sugarcane and native spices provides a natural and authentic foundation for the category.
Product Profile & Craftsmanship:
-
Flavor Notes: The rum is steeped in native botanicals, offering a profile characterized by warm spices, soft caramel, and a subtle salty sweetness reminiscent of a coastal breeze.
-
The “Lost & Found” Vision: It is designed to capture the “ease and energy” of the Indian tropics—a lifestyle where days move with the sun and nights are defined by music and community.
-
Packaging & Pricing: Priced at ₹1,600 in Goa (with a premium variant at ₹2,500), the brand targets the accessible premium segment, appealing to urban consumers and high-energy experiential venues.

Rahul Mehra, CEO & Co-founder, Third Eye Distillery, stated: “India has always been a land where sugarcane and spice thrived long before rum became Caribbean; so, it made sense to bring this story home. Lost & Found is shaped by the land we know—the monsoons, the coastlines, and a food culture built on spice. That’s the India this rum represents.”
The launch is supported by a partnership with Hideaway Goa, which serves as the brand’s cultural custodian. Together, they aim to build a lifestyle-first identity through curated music, storytelling, and community-led cocktail experiences, rather than a traditional volume-heavy retail rollout.
Market Expansion:
Following its successful debut in Goa, Lost & Found is currently available in Maharashtra and is slated for a phased rollout in Haryana and Karnataka later this year. This move follows the distillery’s 2025 entry into the whisky segment with Otherside Subcontinental Whiskey, signaling its evolution into a multi-category premium spirits player.
