Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) has announced the strategic signing of Radisson Resort & Spa, Kalimpong, marking the debut of the first internationally branded hotel in this scenic hill station of West Bengal. Developed in partnership with Siddhashree Developers, the 150-key resort is set to redefine luxury and upscale hospitality in the Eastern Himalayas, providing a gateway to the Teesta Valley’s ecological and cultural riches.
Known for its colonial architecture, Buddhist monasteries, and sprawling nurseries, Kalimpong has long been a favorite for domestic travelers. The entry of Radisson signifies the city’s transition into a global tourist circuit, targeting high-end leisure travelers, “workation” professionals, and the burgeoning destination wedding market.
Property Highlights & Guest Experience:

Breathtaking Topography: Spread across a lush landscape, the resort offers panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range and the winding Teesta River.
-
Upscale Inventory: The 150 guest rooms will include a mix of luxury suites and private chalets, designed with a blend of contemporary aesthetics and local Himalayan craftsmanship.
-
Wellness & Recreation: A core focus of the property is the full-service spa, an infinity pool overlooking the valley, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
-
Culinary Excellence: The resort will feature multiple F&B outlets, including an all-day diner, a specialty Himalayan restaurant, and a sunset lounge bar.
-
MICE Infrastructure: To tap into the corporate retreat segment, the property will house extensive indoor and outdoor banquet spaces equipped with modern audiovisual technology.
