Olive Hospitality, the hospitality arm of the Embassy Group, has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA). The agreement outlines an ambitious plan to develop 2,000 rooms across several strategic tourism and business markets in the state, signaling a major boost for the regional hospitality landscape.
The project is designed to cater to the diverse needs of travelers, from corporate professionals in industrial zones to the millions of pilgrims visiting the state’s sacred sites. The expansion will feature a mix of Olive’s signature brands, including its hybrid “co-living and hotel” models, which are gaining popularity among younger, mobile professionals.
Key Pillars of the Strategic MoU:
-
Geographic Focus: The development will prioritize key growth centers such as Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Amaravati.
-
Diverse Asset Classes: The 2,000-room pipeline will include luxury resorts, business hotels, and Olive’s innovative “Olive Life” and “Olive Zip” models, which focus on efficiency and tech-integrated stays.
-
Economic Impact: The partnership is expected to generate significant local employment and contribute to the state’s goal of becoming a premier investment destination in South India.
-
Sustainability & Tech: New properties will be built with a focus on sustainable construction practices and will feature smart-room technology to enhance the guest experience while reducing the operational carbon footprint.

Kahraman Yigit, Co-founder and CEO of Olive Hospitality, noted that Andhra Pradesh offers a unique blend of industrial potential and rich cultural heritage. “This MoU is a testament to our commitment to the Indian heartland. By partnering with the state government, we aim to set new benchmarks in hospitality and provide world-class stay experiences in these high-potential markets,” Yigit stated.
Market Outlook: Andhra Pradesh has been aggressively courting private investment to upgrade its tourism infrastructure. This partnership with Olive Hospitality aligns with the state’s broader “Tourism Policy,” which offers incentives for large-scale hospitality projects that help bridge the gap between demand and quality supply in Tier-II cities.
