A recent report by the online travel platform Agoda has revealed the top honeymoon hotspots for Indian couples in 2025, highlighting a mix of classic domestic favorites and new, emerging international destinations. The findings show that while traditional choices remain strong, there is a clear appetite for unique and affordable tropical getaways.

Domestic Trends: For the second consecutive year, Goa retains its crown as the most popular domestic destination for honeymooners, celebrated for its pristine beaches, world-class resorts, and vibrant nightlife. Following Goa, Udaipur has surged into the list as a new favorite, captivating couples with its serene lakes and royal heritage, earning it a reputation as India’s “City of Lakes.” The list is rounded out by Mumbai, Jaipur, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with the latter making a notable debut as a unique island escape closer to home.

International Trends: Internationally, Dubai continues to be a top choice for Indian newlyweds, offering a blend of luxury, adventure, and modern city life. Phuket and Bangkok, both in Thailand, also remain immensely popular for their tropical charm and accessibility.

Gaurav Malik, Country Director at Agoda, noted that the data reveals a trend where Indian travelers are seeking destinations that offer a balance of “romance and discovery.” This is particularly evident in the rise of Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, which saw a staggering 700% increase in search interest. This rapid surge propelled it to the sixth spot on the list, signifying a growing preference among couples for fresh, beautiful, and affordable beach destinations in Southeast Asia.

The report collectively indicates that beach and island getaways, whether domestic or international, continue to be the most loved choice for Indian honeymooners seeking a romantic and memorable start to their new lives.
