Burma Burma, India’s acclaimed Burmese specialty restaurant and tea room, has officially opened its first outlet in Chandigarh at Nexus Elante Mall. The 98-seater restaurant spans 3,128 square feet and introduces the city to the bold, comforting, and diverse culinary traditions of Burma, ranging from tribal cuisines to popular street food gems.
The menu, curated by Head Chef Ansab Khan, is a result of years of research and travel across Burma. Signature offerings include the iconic Samosa Soup, Tea Leaf Salad, Tohu Mash with Paratha, and the beloved Burmese Khowsuey. The beverage program complements the food with traditional Burmese pulled teas, bubble teas, and zero-proof cocktails.
Reflecting the brand’s focus on storytelling, the interiors are inspired by Burmese folk tales. A striking focal wall depicts scenes from popular folklore, blending traditional art with contemporary design to create an immersive dining environment that extends beyond the plate.

Head Chef Ansab Khan noted: “Burma Burma’s signature cuisine is both bold and refreshing. Drawing inspiration from cherished heirloom recipes and street food gems, the menu is shaped by years of continued research… ensuring authenticity while allowing flavours to feel accessible and familiar to Indian diners.”
