Chalet Hotels Launches ATHIVA

Chalet Hotels Limited (CHL) has officially announced the launch of ATHIVA Hotels & Resorts, a new proprietary premium lifestyle hospitality brand in the Indian market. Derived from the Sanskrit word for “abundance” and “to a great extent,” ATHIVA is built upon a core philosophy focusing on joy, sustainability, and wellness, aiming to provide guests with both the assurance of familiar quality and the delight of unexpected surprises.

Brand Debut and Initial Portfolio

The ATHIVA brand is debuting with a significant initial commitment, featuring over 900 keys across a portfolio of six properties.

The brand’s debut property is the transformation of the well-known The Dukes Retreat in Khandala, which has been reimagined as the ATHIVA Resort & Spa, Khandala. This property, featuring 147 rooms, including 11 elegant suites, is positioned as a sanctuary that embodies refined luxury, offers authentic local experiences, and incorporates responsible practices.

Chalet Hotels has already identified five additional properties that are slated to transition into the ATHIVA brand over time. These properties include:

  1. A fully renovated business hotel in Navi Mumbai.
  2. The Resort at Aksa Beach, a K Raheja Corp Group Hotel.
  3. Three greenfield projects currently under development, with two located in Goa and one in Thiruvananthapuram.

With over 900 keys committed at the brand launch and strategic plans to double capacity within three years, ATHIVA represents a significant and disciplined lifestyle hospitality rollout, leveraging the established trust and operational excellence of Chalet Hotels.

Focus on the Modern Guest Experience

Designed to appeal to the millennial and Gen Z mindset, ATHIVA introduces several signature differentiators intended to redefine the traditional guest journey:

  • Breakfast@Anytime: Offering guests freedom from rigid dining schedules.
  • Binge Box: A complimentary, wholesome snack offering that serves as a healthier alternative to traditional, calorie-heavy minibars.
  • Dollops of Joy: Thoughtfully curated surprise treats woven into the guest experience throughout their stay.
  • Local Immersions: Programs focused on facilitating authentic cultural connections and experiences.
