Eco Hotels Signs First Greenfield Project in Mumbai Metropolitan Region

Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited (EHRL) has announced the signing of its first Greenfield project in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), marking a major milestone in its aggressive expansion strategy. The new property will be located in Dombivli and branded under “The Eco,” the company’s flagship premium mid-range brand.

Planned to open within the next 24 months, the hotel will feature 65 to 70 well-appointed rooms and a 5,000 sq. ft. banquet hall catering to corporate and social events. Culinary highlights include Sahar, a “Back to the Roots” signature restaurant, GG’s, a rooftop open-to-sky bar and restaurant, and Kick in the Brick, a vibrant dance floor and dining space. The hotel is part of a massive 10-acre integrated development that will also house a high-street shopping complex, a school, a hospital, and a residential complex.

Vinod Kumar Tripathi, Executive Chairman of Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited, stated: “Entering the Mumbai Metropolitan Region is a strategically important milestone for Eco Hotels. The MMR continues to witness strong growth driven by commercial expansion, infrastructure development, and increasing demand for mid-scale, well-positioned hotels. This project aligns with our long-term vision of building scalable, sustainable hospitality assets in high-growth urban markets.”

Vikram Doshi, Director – Finance & CFO, added: “Starting 2026 on a high note, we have already signed our third property in January 2026. This expansion represents an important step forward for Eco Hotels as we continue to scale our operations and deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.”
