Grand Hyatt Mumbai Promotes Anirban Sarkar to Food and Beverage Manager

Grand Hyatt Mumbai has announced the promotion of Anirban Sarkar to the position of Food and Beverage Manager. Sarkar joined the hotel in August 2024 and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening the F&B function through his meticulous attention to detail, collaborative leadership, and ability to inspire high performance across teams. His contributions have been instrumental in improving service delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving consistency across restaurant and event operations.

Key Responsibilities and Strategic Focus

In his new capacity, Sarkar will be responsible for leading the hotel’s overall food & beverage strategy. His key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all restaurants, bars, and banqueting operations.

  • Managing guest experience initiatives and team development programs.

  • Elevating culinary presentation standards and strengthening quality controls.

  • Driving innovative dining experiences that align with the hotel’s evolving vision.

Sarkar will work closely with the culinary and operations leadership to ensure seamless alignment between concept, execution, and service excellence, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation for hospitality innovation.

Leadership Perspective

Expressing his enthusiasm for the promotion, Sarkar emphasized the hotel’s culture of excellence and the support he received: “I am honoured to step into this role at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, a property that continues to set new benchmarks in innovation and guest experience. He acknowledged the meaningful guidance and support received from the executive committee, General Manager Robert Dallimore, and the F&B team throughout his journey at Hyatt.
