Bellona Hospitality has announced the standalone debut of its purpose-led dining brand, Ishaara, on the iconic Church Street in Bengaluru. Known for its “sign-and-dine” concept, Ishaara is helmed by a service team of hearing and speech-impaired professionals, making it a pioneer in inclusive hospitality. The new outlet aims to create deep human connections through food and expression in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Property Highlights & Experience

The restaurant is designed to be a tactile, inviting space where communication transcends spoken words.

  • Concept: An elevated “Sign-and-Dine” experience where guests interact with staff using simple gestures and sign language.

  • Design: Envisioned by Minnie Bhatt Design, the 3,000 sq. ft. space (including a 700 sq. ft. verandah) blends raw concrete, warm wood, and brass. The high-ceilinged verandah serves as a sunlit corner by day and a relaxed bar by night.

  • Capacity: A seating capacity of 112 guests, offering both indoor and outdoor options.

  • Cuisine: A refined, ingredient-forward menu that celebrates Indian heritage with contemporary global touches.

  • Location: Situated at 1 Sobha, Church Street, a prime hub for Bengaluru’s urban diners.

Prashant Issar, Managing Director, Bellona Hospitality: “This marks not just growth, but the beginning of a powerful new era for the brand. Our aim is to create moments of connection through food, emotion and human kindness. Ishaara is grounded in purpose and giving back, making Bengaluru, with its openness and curiosity, a natural next chapter.”
