Nothing Before Coffee (NBC), a rapidly growing Indian QSR coffee chain founded in 2017, has reported a period of robust financial performance and significant physical expansion, reinforcing its position as a major player in the country’s youth-focused café culture.
Financial and Operational Performance
NBC announced a powerful growth narrative, marked by two significant achievements:
-
Revenue Growth: A remarkable surge of over 70% in revenues at the company level year-on-year.
-
Outlet Expansion: A 52% year-on-year jump in its outlet count, confirming a strong, scalable model focused on Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III markets.
NBC differentiates itself through accessible pricing, a signature ‘Shrappe’ (a desi twist on a frappe), an innovative menu, and vibrant spaces designed to build community and loyalty among young consumers, moving beyond the traditional premium coffee model. The brand currently operates with more than 100 outlets across India.
Nationwide Expansion Plan
Fueling this momentum, NBC is strategically deepening its presence in high-potential markets across North and West India:
-
Gujarat: The brand is consolidating its presence in this key western state with the launch of its 4th outlet in Surat, 2nd in Vadodara, and 3rd in Ahmedabad.
-
Punjab: NBC is simultaneously entering the northern market with the launch of an outlet in the bustling satellite city of Zirakpur, demonstrating a strategic multi-state expansion push.
-
Future Growth Engines: The brand has identified cities like Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow as powerful growth engines, with the latest launches representing a strategic scaling of its successful model to create a powerful network effect.

Akshay Kedia, Co-founder of Nothing Before Coffee, articulated the brand’s strategy: “Our robust growth—52% more stores and 70% higher revenue—is a powerful testament to our brand’s resonance and our sharp focus on scalable, unit-economics-driven expansion. We are strategically capitalizing on this momentum by simultaneously strengthening our presence in high-performing states like Gujarat and entering new, high-potential markets like Zirakpur. This dual approach is central to our vision of making NBC a national household name.”
