Healthy food brand Salad Days is gearing up for a major operational surge, announcing aggressive plans to expand its cloud kitchen network to over 50 locations by the close of 2025. This significant strategic growth is a direct response to the escalating demand for healthy, convenient, ready-to-eat meal options within key urban markets across India.
Fueled Growth and Geographic Focus
The expansion initiative is strongly supported by the Series A funding the company successfully raised earlier this year. Salad Days currently operates 36 kitchens, with a distribution including 19 in Delhi-NCR, 12 in Bengaluru, and 5 in Mumbai. The brand’s immediate expansion efforts will be laser-focused on strengthening its foothold in the Delhi-NCR and Mumbai regions.
The company has detailed plans to open 8–10 new kitchens across key areas in Delhi-NCR, specifically in Gurugram, Delhi, and Noida. Simultaneously, the expansion in Mumbai will target high-demand residential and business hubs such as Malad West, Borivali West, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Chembur, and Thane. These new locations are strategically chosen to enhance delivery coverage and significantly reduce delivery times across these crucial urban centers.
Operational and Product Innovation
Beyond physical expansion, Salad Days is committing to comprehensive operational upgrades to support its scale. The company is modernizing its kitchen infrastructure with sophisticated technology, including a continuous makeline system, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), IoT-enabled temperature monitoring, and modular layouts. These enhancements are designed to improve efficiency, ensure consistent quality, and maintain the highest food safety standards across its rapidly growing network.

Reflecting on the milestone, Varun Madan, Founder & CEO of Salad Days, highlighted the impact of the growth. “The Series A funding… enables us to scale our impact significantly – we’ve already served 1 million orders in 2025, and we’re now positioned to cater to an estimated 4.5 million orders over the next two years,” Madan stated. He also expressed excitement about the launch of the “Build Your Salad” feature, which embodies the brand’s commitment to product innovation while staying true to its core mission of making nutritious eating accessible to a broader consumer base.
This extensive expansion is also expected to have a positive socio-economic impact by generating employment across its kitchen and delivery operations, further contributing to the economy in the regions where it operates.
