Sunday Hotel, operating under its parent company PRISM (part of OYO), is making a significant entry into the wildlife tourism segment with a plan to launch 10 new properties across India’s most popular national parks and reserves within the next six months. This new direction begins with the opening of its first dedicated wildlife resort, the Sunday Hotel & Resort at Kiyari Kham, strategically located near the Jim Corbett National Park. This move is part of a broader strategy to create a pan-India footprint in the experiential travel category, blending luxury hospitality with authentic nature experiences while maintaining a commitment to sustainability and community empowerment.
Resort Details and Nature-Meets-Luxury Experience

The Sunday Hotel & Resort at Kiyari Kham is situated approximately 10 km from the Amdanda Gate of Jim Corbett National Park, nestled among dense forests and winding creeks. The resort offers a seamless blend of nature and luxury with over 50 rooms, categorized into Premium, Attic, Family Rooms, and Suites, many of which feature private balconies overlooking the surrounding forest. Beyond comfortable accommodation equipped with modern amenities (AC, LED TVs, Wi-Fi), the resort provides expansive facilities including an outdoor pool, a restaurant and bar, bonfire zones, and elegant business halls and lawns suitable for destination weddings. To deliver an immersive wildlife experience, the hotel curates activities such as guided safaris, nature walks, riverside trails, bird-watching tours, yoga sessions, and stargazing nights, all led by expert guides.
Ambitious Expansion Across National Parks

According to Aditya Sharma, Business Head, Sunday Hotels, the company plans to rapidly add nine more properties over the subsequent six months. The expansion will strategically target key wildlife destinations in both the North and Central regions, including Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, and Kanha, as well as properties in the South like Periyar, Nagarhole, and Wayanad. This expansion is dubbed the Sunday Wildlife Collection, intended to not only celebrate the spirit of the wild but also ensure positive community impact. The brand has committed to empowering local communities through employment opportunities, supporting artisanal partnerships, and implementing sustainable, eco-friendly hospitality practices across its new wildlife portfolio.
