JSM Corporation Pvt. Ltd., the creators behind iconic brands like Shiro and Hard Rock Café, has unveiled its latest culinary venture: Yoichi by Shiro. Located in the heart of Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru, the restaurant is a curated homage to the vibrant, chaotic, and flavor-rich street markets of Southeast Asia. Designed to function as a live marketplace, Yoichi (Japanese for “street market”) blends authentic hawker-style dining with modern, tech-enabled convenience.
The Market Experience: Layout & Atmosphere
Yoichi is not just a restaurant; it’s an immersive “food market” walkthrough featuring distinct stalls and live counters:
-
The Izakaya & Robata Counter: Framed by shelves of sake and whisky, serving small plates and tempura.
-
The Tuk Tuk Bar: A central social hub anchored by a reclaimed railway-wood bar.
-
Live Stations: Includes a Dim Sum counter with towering steamers, a Parata Ichiban stall for Malaysian flatbreads, and a charcoal grill.
-
Design Philosophy: A “lived-in” aesthetic featuring raw cement walls, weathered posters, oakwood beams, and street-art-inspired murals to recreate the authentic feel of a Bangkok or Tokyo alley.
Culinary Highlights: A Love Letter to the Streets
The menu is a bold, aromatic journey through Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam:
-
Signature Dishes: Agedashi Tofu, Hamachi Carpaccio, Satay skewers, and Korean Kimchi Ramen.
-
Unique Formats: The Asian Thali offers a comforting mix of favorites, while claypot meals and wok specials provide hearty sharing options.
-
Dessert: Concluding the experience with refreshing Frozen Coconut Yoghurt.

Sanjay Mahtani, Executive Director, JSM Corporation Pvt. Ltd.: “We created Yoichi… as a personal homage to the electric energy and vibrant, organized chaos of the region’s iconic night markets. We didn’t just want a food hall; we wanted to recreate the sights, sounds, and atmosphere that everyone loves when they travel.”

Chef Priyank Singh Chouhan, Director – Culinary & Operations, JSM Corporation: “Yoichi is our tribute to the streets… places where food is honest, energetic, and deeply rooted in culture. Every stall and every dish is inspired by flavors I’ve experienced firsthand.”
