Biggies Burgers, a Bengaluru-based restaurant chain, is set to embark on an extensive expansion campaign, unveiling plans to open 50 new stores by the year’s close. The expansion initiative also encompasses their subsidiary, Bigguy’s Wingery, which specializes in delectable chicken wings.
Founder Biraja Prasad Rout articulated their strategic approach, highlighting their vision to fill a significant gap in the Indian market. “As a home-grown QSR brand for chicken wings, we recognized a gap in the market for a high-quality chicken wings brand in India,” said Mr. Rout. “While international giants like KFC and Nando’s were prominent, we saw an opportunity to bring a unique and localized twist to this beloved food item as an Indian homegrown brand.”
Currently, the group is at the nascent stage of its expansion journey, focusing exclusively on the southern markets of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Coimbatore. Mr. Rout further emphasized their ambitious objective of establishing 50 stores in these cities by the end of this year. “We’re aiming to acquire a significant market share in the chicken wings segment,” he added. “Our franchise model will play a crucial role in empowering local entrepreneurs and ensuring the brand’s growth in these markets.”
On the other hand, Biggies Burgers is concentrating on broadening its footprint in tier-two and tier-three cities. Mr. Rout outlined their grand vision, stating, “Our vision is to position Biggies Burger as a prominent home-grown burger chain in India with a revenue target of 500 crore and a market share of 15 to 20 percent of the burger market within the next three to four years.”
The expansion plans of Biggies Burgers and Bigguy’s Wingery signify their unwavering commitment to offering quality dining experiences and satisfying the discerning tastes of customers across India, both in the burger and chicken wing segments. As they embark on this exciting journey, they seek to discover a distinct place for themselves in the country’s thriving food industry.
In response to this news, restaurant enthusiasts and investors alike eagerly anticipate the growth of these homegrown brands, eager to savor their unique offerings and witness their progress in India’s competitive culinary landscape.
