This momentous event took place in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi, signifying Costa Coffee’s growing presence in the country.
Costa Coffee made its entry into the Indian market in 2005, with the launch of its very first café in the heart of the capital, Connaught Place, New Delhi. This marked the commencement of the brand’s captivating journey in India, offering a range of coffee experiences to a discerning and evolving clientele. Over the past year, Costa Coffee, in collaboration with Devyani International, embarked on a substantial expansion initiative across India. This effort resulted in the introduction of approximately 60 new stores, reflecting the brand’s commitment to reaching more coffee enthusiasts across the nation.
Costa Coffee’s ongoing mission is to establish a presence in the top 8-10 cities in India, with a particular focus on specialized locations such as airports, highways, and healthcare facilities. This strategic approach aims to bring artisanal coffee experiences to a diverse and widespread audience.
India’s coffee sector has been experiencing a fascinating transformation, with a notable shift towards specialty coffee and premium offerings. This transformation is predominantly driven by urban millennials who have turned coffee shops into vibrant social hubs. This shift is especially noteworthy in a nation traditionally associated with a rich tea culture.
