LaRiSa Hotels & Resorts has officially announced the signing of Nabha Haveli by LaRiSa, marking its first hotel in Punjab and signifying a significant milestone in its continuous expansion across North India. This heritage resort is situated in the historic town of Nabha, a short drive from Patiala.
The structure itself is a historic haveli that joins LaRiSa’s portfolio, successfully blending its inherent old-world charm with the brand’s signature sense of understated, contemporary luxury. The new property features 20 rooms designed with arched verandas, hand-carved details, and courtyards that beautifully echo the grandeur of a bygone era.
Historical and Strategic Significance
The location of the resort offers guests an evocative escape into Punjab’s royal heartland, a region that is rich in history, architecture, and cinematic allure. Historically, Nabha, along with Patiala and Jind, was renowned for its regal architecture and golden countryside. Filmmakers have long been inspired by the area’s elegant palaces, old forts, and tree-lined avenues, with parts of iconic Bollywood movies like Jab We Met, Veer-Zaara, and Patiala House having been shot in and around the region, bringing its nostalgic beauty to the big screen. The haveli aims to celebrate this old-world grace, providing a rare glimpse of Punjab’s living heritage, making it an ideal destination for those seeking meaningful, immersive travel experiences.
Guests at the resort can enjoy curated experiences that celebrate local culture, ranging from heritage walks and farm visits to traditional Punjabi dining that honors age-old family recipes.
Leadership Vision and Philosophy

Randhir Narayan, Director, LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts, articulated the vision behind the launch: “The signing of Nabha Haveli by LaRiSa marks an important step in our North India and is a significant milestone in our growth story. As we expand, we remain committed to creating places and crafting stays that capture the true essence of every destination. Punjab’s legendary warm hospitality combined with our professional management skills, will offer travellers to this heritage resort an exceptional, luxurious stay that immerses them in the region’s heritage. With this addition, the LaRiSa Resorts brand portfolio now stands at ten properties.”
