McDonald’s India (West and South) has marked a significant milestone with the launch of the nation’s inaugural Airport Drive-Thru restaurant in Mumbai, according to an official press release. Situated just 100 meters away from Terminal 2 (T2) of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), the new restaurant spans over 3,000 sq. ft. and operates 24×7, becoming the first McDonald’s outlet in Mumbai to offer round-the-clock service.
Saurabh Kalra, Managing Director of McDonald’s India (West and South), expressed excitement about expanding their presence not only in Mumbai but also in other strategic locations across West and South India, aiming to make delicious feel-good moments easily accessible for everyone.
With this addition, McDonald’s now has a total of three restaurants within Terminal 2, enhancing its presence at CSMIA.
The new drive-thru restaurant boasts several modern features, including a digital order display, swift order fulfillment in just 120 seconds, and four self-ordering kiosks (SOK). Embracing the Experience of the Future (EOTF) concept, this McDonald’s outlet exemplifies the brand’s commitment to staying ahead in customer service and convenience.
Looking ahead, McDonald’s India is determined to build more drive-thru destination stores across various city suburbs and national highways. The company envisions that 30-35% of new McDonald’s restaurants in the next 4-5 years will be drive-thru locations.
