1-2-Taste India Pvt. Ltd. is a B2B platform for buying food ingredients where small and medium scale food manufacturers and foodservice brands can order their ingredients online. The site connects the direct manufacturers and the B2B customers from the bakery, confectionery, food and beverage and ice cream industry to name a few. After having a successful stint in India and Europe, the brand plans to move to new overseas markets – the Middle East, Africa and the United States of America, to promote both buying and selling of food ingredients through its channel. The portal will soon be listing protein requirements and natural sweetener vendors too.
Additionally, the company has currently listed 25 Indian vendors and over 60 vendors from Europe on its portal. By the end of 2022, 1-2-Taste plans to add another 100 new Indian vendors on its website and take the count to 125. In order to develop the platform as a one-stop solution, the brand’s Vendor Engagement Managers are in the process to list quality ingredient manufacturers covering each requirement of the B2B food ingredient buyers.
S Ulaganathan, Managing Director, 1-2-Taste India Pvt. Ltd. adds, “The company is 2.5 years old in India and for the past one year, 1-2-Taste is also operational in Europe. By the end of June 2022, the company plans to debut in the Middle East and tap Africa through the direct selling model. Both markets have good potential. 1-2-Taste will be listing the ingredient vendors in the Middle East and Africa. B2B culinary players in each geography will be able to buy and sell from the other. A lot of Europe-based companies also want to enter the Indian culinary market. They are now coming through 1-2-Taste. Additionally, we are in talks with like-minded partners from the United States of America to join us. If discussions go well, then the United States of America would be next on the cards by 2023.”
The vendors are available with quality products but they lack strategic marketing. 1-2-Taste India will be charging an annual fee from them to list their products on the brand’s website. All the product details like product application, specifications, etc. will be pushed forward to the right target audience through digital marketing promotions on Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS, email campaign, Google and more. The portal’s tele-calling team will take the hot leads forward generated from digital promotions.
