Punjab’s popular American eatery, Uncle Jack’s, has launched its first outlet in the capital city of Delhi. It has 8+ outlets currently operational across Punjab. Uncle Jack’s aims to double its portfolio this year.

“2020 was quite a ride and I think all of us can agree to the same. We were supposed to open up our Delhi store in March, which got pushed to November because of the pandemic. This delay had its upside, we had time to prepare and plan well,” said Ankush Arora, Managing Director, Uncle Jack’s. “Before we opened up post the locked down, we were sceptical on customers’ preference to go out or even order in. It was slow in the beginning, now we have picked up the pace. The love we have received was enough for us to open up more stores and keep the wheel rolling.”

Uncle Jack’s Fries and Burgers are the guests favorite. The new menu in the Delhi store – has a few more additional dishes – the Quesadillas, Quickie Tubs (cheese and chicken strips with dips), cheeseburgers and so on. The base sauces and produce are prepared in the head kitchen and then freshly assembled at the stores. “There is an entire team that works for that perfect taste every time you bite into your burgers” quipped Ankush.

The food served in take away packages can help the guests carry their leftovers, which works as both re-using and also control the food wastage, added Ankush. The portioning of food also aids in maintaining a clean plate.

The restaurant undertakes strict measures in relation to pandemic measure, like installing sanitizer bottles at every table, regular temperature checks for the delivery person, standard cleaning of the kitchen equipment and regular sanitization of the stores. Temperature check is conducted on chefs and the food kept safe throughout their time at the store.

“My travels have been my biggest inspirations. Uncle Jack’s is pretty much my love for food from the American continent served to you in takeaway packaging. The fries, the quesadillas, the classic Sloppy Joes, shakes and coolers. They were all born because of my travels. The inspiration is always around, as long as you keep your heart open to it,” said Ankush on his inspirations behind Uncle Jack’s.

Uncle Jack’s plans to open more locations that are underway are Jammu, Amritsar and Zirakpur. “We look forward to all that the future offers,” added Ankush.
