Antares Vision Group Digitalises Billions of Products for Tight Supply Chain Transparency

-KH News Desk (cbedit@imaws.org)

An established berry company’s supply chain transparency solution was successfully piloted by Antares Vision Group (EXM, AV:IM), an Italian multinational and a market-leading supplier of track and trace and quality control systems that ensure product and supply chain transparency through integrated data management. In order for the producer of berries to protect, assist, and interact with its clients, the initiative involves the digitalization of approximately 1.5 billion goods.

The Supply Chain Transparency solution package, which is supported by technology from rfxcel, a subsidiary of Antares Vision Group, enables data on harvested berries to be gathered and incorporated into a platform that completely regulates product safety and quality.

The producer scans each individual clamshell to associate the berry variety, farm, and growing conditions, providing each package with a unique digital identity and comprehensive product information using Antares Vision Group’s cutting-edge serialisation and mobile traceability technology. Customers can complete a survey by scanning a QR Code on a package, giving the producer vital information on how their customers feel about various berries cultivated in particular areas. This enables the business to concentrate on the varieties of berries that clients prefer and ensures that product quality is maintained at high levels.

Glenn Abood

Glenn Abood, CEO of rfxcel, said the project showcases the technology’s impact and scalability. “We’re really expanding boundaries with this project,” he said. “Our coordination with the berry producer has been greatly rewarding; together, we’ve designed a system that reliably manages billions of products in the first and last mile of the supply chain. It performs these tasks day in and day out, with sub-second scanning times and exacting accuracy.”

Abood continued: “Our serialisation technologies are opening up entirely new avenues for brand value and benefits, connecting safety, quality, efficiency, and trust. The brand owners have actionable and granular information about consumer preferences, opening new dialogue channels and highly targeted customer interactions. Recall management is another benefit: It’s unnecessary to recall every package, only a single clamshell. These advantages are available only with serialised products, which unlock opportunities with the power of unit-level data.”
