Atlas Copco, a leader in compressors, vacuum solutions, generators, pumps, power tools and assembly systems, has launched a new range of TCX and TCA process chillers.
The TCX series is a compact, all-in-one water chiller with an air-cooled condenser and integrated hydronic module. It is the first series of process cooling chillers in India. TCX chillers are specifically designed to cool water (or a mixture of water and glycol) for a wide variety of industrial processes, including food and beverage, machine cooling and plastics.
Anil Dave, Business Line Manager, of the oil-free air division, Atlas Copco India said “By offering these new products, we are offering customers an excellent opportunity to complete their efficiency package with this new line of industrial chillers. Atlas Copco engineers have years of experience designing and calculating advanced energy-efficient machines. We can confidently say that the benefits of using an integrated TCA55-215 free-cooling chiller can result in savings of up to 40% in total electricity consumption at five-year life cycle costs. , based on estimates and prepared for different climatic zones”.
The Elektronikon Mk5S and Smartlink controllers are integrated into the company’s new TCX4-90A series. Stainless steel is used to make the evaporator, tank and pump housing. Comprised of standard safety components, these chillers are designed for easy maintenance, making the units reliable and increasing productivity. The parts of the TCA chiller allow different applications and uses in different industrial sectors.
A shell and tube evaporator can be used in a variety of processes in closed and open hydraulic circuits to achieve the highest level of reliability. An integrated hydraulic circuit with an atmospheric buffer tank, one or two pumps (work/standby) and different working pressures (1, 3, 5 bar) can be added to any arrangement.
The list of affected industries includes, but is not limited to, mechanical engineering, all forms of metalworking, food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, cement manufacturing, chemicals and petrochemicals, oil and gas, data centre and communications centre cooling, and all forms of plastics manufacturing.
