In a groundbreaking move, Ayatana Hospitality, renowned for its opulent resorts and hotels, has announced a strategic expansion that includes opening seven new properties by 2024. Celebrating its fifth anniversary in the hospitality industry, the company is set to redefine luxury with its upcoming ventures.
Established in 2017 under the name Plus Hotels, Ayatana Hospitality made a pivotal decision to amplify its presence by building on the success of the Ayatana, Coorg chain of resorts. The company, having completed five years in the industry, witnessed remarkable growth, particularly with the launch of Azora by Ayatana in 2022—a Welcome Heritage Hotel that pays homage to diverse cultural legacies. Inspired by the overwhelming popularity of the Coorg project, Ayatana Hospitality is now set to captivate the scenic beauty of Ooty, marking its latest expansion. Furthermore, the company has its sights on the enchanting Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh, with plans to venture into this region later in the year.
The journey of Ayatana Hospitality has been marked by milestones, notably achieving rapid growth until 2022, boasting an impressive average annual revenue of approximately 60 Crores. The company aims to elevate this figure to 100 Crores by 2024. A significant collaboration with ITC has fortified Ayatana’s position in the industry. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ITC paved the way for establishing five resorts in Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. Operating as an authorized brand partner with ITC Hotels under the esteemed WelcomHeritage brand, Ayatana Hospitality has solidified its commitment to delivering unparalleled luxury experiences.
Not only has Ayatana experienced a surge in visitors but also witnessed heightened employee engagement and increased hiring activities. The expansion plans encompass key locations across South India, including Araku Valley, Kabini, Chikmagalur, Vagamon, Kochi, and Goa. Vishal Tony, the visionary founder of Ayatana Hospitality, expressed his vision for the brand’s unique blend of traditional culture and luxury comfort. Reflecting on Ayatana Coorg, he emphasized the resort’s role as a haven where guests can immerse themselves in Indian heritage amidst a hundred acres of lush landscapes, waterfalls, and mist. In the upcoming developments across South Indian states, each luxury resort and hotel under Ayatana’s umbrella will adopt a distinct theme, aligning with the brand’s ethos as a “sanctuary of senses.”
