Chennai:

E.K.Foods, India’s one of the leading fastest growing companies that makes bakery ingredients in the brand name ‘BakerCraft’ is on an expansion spree. The company is coming up with a new manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu.

In an interaction with Kitchen Herald, Sayed Afzal, National Sales Manager, BakerCraft says, “We had started this venture in 2019. First, we started the consumer division then we moved to the Bakery segment. Our products are mainly for home bakers as we had started in the Corona period when a lot of home bakers were aggressive on the ground.”

Speaking further, he said, “After Covid, we introduced our bakery division which included products like cornflour, and custard powder in bulk packing. Now we are selling in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and parts of Andhra Pradesh. We have facilities like a good resource network, in every state we have super circuits. Under super circuits, we have certain area distributors who are supplying to dealers. Dealers are very happy because they are getting good margins and our products are also very well accepted by the consumer. Hence, they can easily sell our products.

Expansion plans:

Speaking on the expansion plans, Afzal said, “Our expansion plan is that since we are running with the normal mode which means that we are making everything manually, we are purchasing a place in Tamil Nadu and constructing a 10,000 sq ft building with a full-automated plant. It’s sure we can cater to all the south Indian markets easily and timely.”

What makes BakerCraft Unique ?:

“Our products are very unique. There are a lot of expectations from the product because quality is there in products like cornflour and even custard powder. Our product is well accepted in the market, better than our competitors as we are assuring quality.

“We are giving preference to the quality so each and every customer can buy the product as a foul-proof assurance. We are giving reasonable prices and our product is working as a multi-national product. So we are getting easily accepted everywhere, in HoReCa or in any kind of division. Even for the homemaker, we are delivering very well. In fact, we are leading in Kerala amongst all the other competitors.”

Baker Craft started its journey in the field of supplying food ingredients back in 1996 in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. They entered the dairy segment in 2010 by manufacturing premium quality ice creams under the brand name KIWI Ice creams.Baker Craft claims to focus on meeting all the ingredient requirements of home and institutional bakers, for they believe ‘baking is all about passion’.
