Jade & Ginger, a new deli offering Asian-inspired cuisine, has recently opened in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The restaurant is the brainchild of the team behind popular establishments such as The Tanjore Tiffin Room and Bombay Taco Company. The deli is located in a quiet bylane and boasts a cozy outdoor seating area surrounded by plants to create a calming and vibrant atmosphere. The decor features bold pink and green colours to evoke the freshness and richness of Asia, with the name inspired by the soothing and multiple benefits of jade and ginger.
Founder Kishore DF explained that the deli was created to fill a gap in the market for affordable Asian food, as he noticed a lack of options between high-end Japanese restaurants and street food vendors. Chef Parth Purandare has curated the menu, which includes a variety of salads, sandwiches, sliders, baos, tacos, and smoothies. The salads feature unique combinations like the Nippon Classic Salad and Katsu Chicken Salad, while the smoothies include options such as Gold Coast, Green Goblin, Refuel, and Roots.
The deli aims to cater to everyone’s dietary restrictions and preferences, with all dishes made in-house using fresh and high-quality ingredients. The food is also delivery-friendly, making it a popular choice for those on the go.
Parth Purandare added that the deli is designed to fit the profile of Bandra and is nimble enough to expand to other exciting neighborhoods in Mumbai and beyond. Overall, Jade & Ginger offers a delicious and affordable taste of Asia in a cozy and inviting setting.
