Kitchen Herald: Can you tell us about the history and founding of Bansooriwala’s sweet shop?
Vikrantt Singh: I founded Bansooriwala’s in 2021 out of my passion for culinary excellence and a desire to offer authentic Indian sweets and snacks. Prior to embarking on this journey, my professional path commenced as AM Operations at Teleperformance from 2003 to 2006, followed by a stint as Business Manager at Atsoft Services from 2006 to 2008. I further advanced to the role of AVP Operations at respected firms such as Descon Soft Ltd in 2008 and One Touch Solutions until 2009. Venturing into entrepreneurship in 2016, I launched Subziyan.com, which flourished with 8 luxury outlets before my departure in 2018. This entrepreneurial spirit also led to the establishment of BhartiPay, a fintech brand, in 2018, exiting successfully in 2021 with a favourable valuation. However, it was my love for traditional Indian sweets that drove me to establish Bansooriwala’s, with a firm commitment to quality, authenticity, and innovation. Since its inception, Bansooriwala’s has quickly gained acclaim as one of the premier family restaurants in Noida, renowned for its pure vegetarian sweets and snacks crafted with authentic ingredients like pure desi ghee.
