Mumbai/ Pune: The recent launch of books by Dr Deepa Prasad Venkataraman and Renu Dalal on etiquette and vegetarian recipes are marking the way forward for every hospitality professional in India to read it.
Dr.Deepa Prasad Venkatraman is a seasoned Corporate Professional and Educator for the last 25years. The Great Art of Etiquette was invented to translate incoherent jumble of human feelings which we are subjected to into something more presentable. This fun and easy to carry handbook gives easy solutions about the niceties that one follows in life. This makes the journey fun, purposeful, nurture friendship and find passion. Her vast experience as an educator and interaction with the students urged her to bring out a Book on Life Skills. Her core strength as a professional has been teaching International Etiquette, communication skills, personality development to graduate, postgraduates students of
Pune University, hospitality sector, educational institutes and offered consultancy to the corporate sector.
She started her career with the Taj Mahal hotel, Mumbai and was professionally associated with the various hotels of the Taj Group in Food and Beverage Department. She has authored books in Food and Beverage Service. and is a Doctorate in Management. Currently, Spearheading and a Coordinator for a pioneering course BBA (Hospitality and facilities management) introduced under the aegis of the Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) at Savitribai Phule Pune University. The book was launched on the occasion of the orange city literary festival that happened in Nagpur recently.
Renu Dalal, daughter of renowned chef, cookbook author, and television presenter Tarala Dalal, launched her second cookbook – Simple & Delicious Vegetarian Recipes – at Mumbai’s Crossword Bookstores, Kemps Corner, on the 22nd of January. This cookbook follows in the wake of her maiden best-seller, Modern Vegetarian Recipes.
Inspired by the overwhelmingly positive reception that greeted the release of her first book, and with many more recipes to share, Renu set about penning her second book.
