‘Waayu’, the zero Commission food delivery app commences to function in Mumbai.The app developed by the tech entrepreneurs Anirudha Kotgire and Mandar Lande of Destek HORECA facilities its first launch in Mumbai. Extremely high commissions and deathly increasing prices of food,is regarded as the driving force behind the introduction of Waayu.The app enables restaurants, and catering businesses to register orders for food delivery without paying thecommission. It is backed by AHAR, the Indian Hotel and restaurant association. More than 1500 hotels have marked itselfon Waayu. Few of them being, Banana Leaf, Shiv-Sagar, Bhagat Tarachand and Persian Darbar .The hotels and restaurants can now deliver via numerous available options or use their own delivery staff. Waayu aims at resolving the issues such as high commission, extreme rates, delayed deliveries, while primarily expanding itself in Mumbai and Pune.
While the other leading food delivery apps charge a commission of 9-20%, Waayu holds high the zero-commission policy.
Sunil Shetty, the veteran actor of Hindi Film Industry is announced as the brand ambassador for the newly launched app. The app is available for both android and iOS users. The actor calls the launch of Waayu a boon to the restaurant business.
“We aim to disrupt the online and dine in foodindustry with deep technology to provide quality food from popular restaurants at affordable rates. Zero commission model has always been a unique selling proposition and we would continue to do so.” Mandar Lande, the founder said.It is soon expected to integrate with ONDC.
