Chennai: Chennai based Sai institutes, one of the leading culinary schools is all set to conduct their Hospitality Job Fair in Chennai.
The event is the flagship activity of the forum in Chennai where more than 500 prospective students participated last year. The day-long job fair is slated to happen on February 20, 2020, at Sai Institutions, 27, NRS Building, Velachery Road, Little Mount, Chennai – 15. Speaking about the event, Chef Vinoth Kumar, Principal of Sai Institutes, said, “If you notice I see two key current trends in the Kitchen space, the HR professionals in the Hospitality sector recruit students mainly on the basis of merit. On the other side, students are focussing on a quick-money and not willing to work hard for long hours.”
Vinoth also said that the recruiters, compared to previous years, these days look at candidates who are more focussed and take ownership of the work they do. According to Vinoth, even the new-age restaurants look at students with additional skills and those who had created a niche for themselves.
