In Nepal , Lemon Tree Hotels Limited launches Lemon tree Premier in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu as part of its venture into delightful Nepal. The introduction of Lemon Tree Hotels to Nepal is a significant development for the chain, which currently has 10,000 rooms.
With 102 well-appointed rooms and suites, Citrus Café, Republic of Noodles fame, Slounge is the first property to be built in Mount Everest country. The hotel is a modern and elegant establishment.

Located in the district of Kathmandu, Budhanilkantha derives its name from the Sanskrit word for “old blue throat”, a title given to Lord Shiva by the gods after the lord drank poison to save the world.
It houses the famous Budhanilkantha temple, synonymous with a 1,400-year-old black basalt carving of Vishnu covered in coiled snakes and lying on a snake bed in a small pond. This temple is sacred to Hindus but is equally revered by Buddhists. Budhanilkantha is a vast suburb that extends to the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, home to leopards, monkeys and bears and many species of native and migratory birds.
