Kerala’s popular Film producer and Chef Noushad (55) passed away on friday, he was suffering from abdomen-related ailments issues for the last three years and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Thiruvalla. Naushad had sought treatment in Vellore three years ago for a stomach ailment.
He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital in Kochi for more than a year due to a spinal cord injury. He underwent a heart surgery five months ago. He was admitted to a private hospital at Thiruvalla a month ago. Noushad’s body will be brought home at 11 am on Friday before taking it to the SCS school ground at 1 p.m. Funeral will be held at Muttur Juma Masjid near Thiruvalla at 3 p.m.
He has anchored several cookery shows in different television channels. He was running his own hotel and catering business in Thiruvalla. He is the owner of Naushad the big Chef, a leading catering and restaurant group in Kerala. Noushad’s catering for marriage and functions were always a wide treat. He was vastly known to have prepared food for the celebrities and VIPs including the Vice President of India.
Noushad is the film producer for various movies like ‘Kazhicha’, ‘Chattambi nadu’, ‘Best actor’, ‘Lion’, ‘Payyans’, and ‘Spanish Masala’. In 2005, Kazhcha won him the state government’s best producer award. Naushad is the son of K C Kani, owner of Noushad Hotel at Thiruvalla. He has also been a judge of various contests on food preparation. He also gained attention by presenting recipes on various television channels and has been in the catering industry for over three decades.
Noushad’s wife Sheeba (51) had died two weeks ago due to cardiac arrest on August 12 2021. Both were undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The couple has a 13-year-old-daughter.
Noushad’s friend, Mr. Noushad Alathur earlier had revealed through social media that Noushad was in critical condition due to health issues.
