A start-up led by women to help support women and men from all walks of life in their kitchen who have less time to cook and want to get the right taste, this initiative gives an instant solution to all their cravings and made cooking easy.
“My company Gurukripa foods and products is a franchise partner for Motu Chef Ready to cook dry mixes and Parc Seasonings. In the starting, it was very difficult to place the products and approach the appropriate clients or end customers but then through continuous networking in different parts of the cities got connections and started selling the products using marketing strategy,” said Meena Gupta, founder of Gurukripa foods and products.
In Parc Seasonings, the team has a wide range, not only oregano, chili flakes , but also barbeque, cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic cheese, pasta pizza, Jalepeno and many more. MotuChef dry gravies are purely homemade without preservatives and with six months shelf life. They all are in a dehydrated form which differentiates their products from the other brands. “As the Work from home has increased the working hours with no proper time to cook, our products have helped many to cook food in a jiffy with no hustle-bustle. It saves a lot of time as no much chopping and cutting are needed. What we serve is purely homemade made with love and a restaurant-like taste at home. We are serving through online platforms in different parts of the cities and deliver a very economical logistics service to satisfy our customers delivering on time with an economical budget,” said Meena.
This start-up focuses on regions where the Indians are based. The team has demanded all of its products. These products are made in Jaipur using homemade recipes without preservatives. The team received a huge welcome since October, it had managed to attract customers in India. Meena mentioned one of the consumers in Malaysia used it to cook different cuisines. Meena’s decision to start this venture was to provide a platform to those women entrepreneurs who are really looking for a startup with a very low investment. This start has been helping women to grow independently. She has been in the industry for 10 years doing successful events from 2010 till 2020. “But due to pandemic, like all the industry, the event industry has taken a hit. With the support and I got an opportunity from both of my manufacturers for the franchise partner, I started my journey,” said Meena.
Suggestions for the fellow women entrepreneurs:
On her two cents to other fellow women business owners, Meena says that women are the best in managing things – the best planners of their home and family. “Women can definitely create a Benchmark as an entrepreneur also. Women are superheroes who handle household chores and business work with aplomb.”, she says further adding that they should Limit the distractions and time-wasters who try to pull them backward. Meena has an example from her own life after she had faced many criticisms. “When I started my journey after 18 years of my marriage it was not easy for me to survive in this male dominating society. Many people tried to pull my legs even some of the family members also. However, I didn’t stop and keep on moving. I suggest to all the women that hurdles will come but we should not stop and keep on moving, one day you will succeed and reach your destination”, she concluded.
Gurukripa foods had started to venture into new markets such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Pondicherry, Bangalore through networking. The team has been in talks to expand to outside India, Dubai, Uganda, Sri Lanka.
