Morty‘s café set a new opening in providence besides its first branch near Utah state university. The opening of second is due to parking space issues faced in first branch which was confirmed by Parker , owner as “Our number one complaint, that we knew even before we opened, we have 6 parking spaces and ADA space,” “We knew before we even opened that parking was going to be an issue.”
Parker reported that, “As it turned out, our research showed that this area right here, including faculty and students and all the buildings, what they wanted was a good burger,”. “The category is quick serve, fast casual, that’s the category of restaurant that we run. It’s not fast food, but it’s not a sit-down server based gourmet meal either.”
Hansen reported that “The main difference is that we’re going to be offering a different type of shakes and just having two different types of shakes at the Providence Store, but otherwise it is the same. We run the same specials at the same time.”Parker added that Hansen’s leadership has helped the opening of the new location go over smoothly.
Hansen added that “As soon as we knew we were fully going, we were able to just hop over, I think just right out of the gates it was widely accepted and people were so excited that it just fell right into a groove right from the beginning. I feel like we had such a good crew that went initially over that it was really well received.”
The grand opening ceremony is on Tuesday, February 13 while the ribbon cutting starts at 2 pm and then fun activities are planned throughout the day.
